Meaning and purpose of Rule 1C
Rule 1C provides a procedural route back to the referring civil court. When the presiding officer of the conciliatory forum or authority considers that continuing the settlement process would not be proper in the interests of justice, the forum must refer the suit back and direct the parties to appear before the court on a fixed date.
The rule does not itself decide the merits of the dispute, dismiss the suit, or automatically grant relief to either party. The civil court remains responsible for further proceedings according to the applicable procedural law and its orders.
How the procedure works
